DENVER — Masai Ujiri is leaving his job as assistant general manager of the Toronto Raptors to join the Denver Nuggets.

He has been named the team’s new executive vice-president of basketball operations. Ujiri, 39, who had been with Toronto since 2008, returns to the team where he served as a scout from 2003-07.
