Mark Blinch/Reuters The Raptors will play host to the Boston Celtics at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Dec. 18 (1 p.m.), with the return match at Boston’s TD Garden going Wednesday, Dec. 21 (7:30 p.m.). First, National Basketball Association executives were allowed to talk to player agents. Next, players were allowed to use team facilities in preparation for the upcoming season. And now, the third sign that the five-month NBA lockout is drawing to an end, actual games are being scheduled. The Toronto Raptors announced their truncated pre-season schedule on Thursday, and as expected, it is just one set of back-to-back games against a geographically convenient opponent. The Raptors will play host to the Boston Celtics at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Dec. 18 (1 p.m.), with the return match at Boston’s TD Garden going Wednesday, Dec. 21 (7:30 p.m.). This is the same formula the league used in its lockout-shortened 50-game, 1999 season, when each team played two games against the same team in the pre-season.
